Make a Beginning

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

TS Eliot, Four Quartets.

Yet another year passes, for a second time! In China we suffer the luxury of two New Year celebrations each year. Soon after our rather more predictable Western calendar passes the change, the Chinese calendar kicks in with a bang, as fireworks resound in order to drive away any evil spirits still lurking from the preceding year.

We at POP-UP BEIJING, wish all our friends and supporters a most happy and prosperous Year of the Goat, as we sweep away the old, and welcome in the new again. Xin Nian Quai Le!
