The ARROW has landed at POP-UP BEIJING! Following the launch of our first boutique beer at POP-UP BEIJING Wine Bar last month – The Nine Inch Brewing – we’re thrilled to announce the soft launch of two ARROW FACTORY BREWING beers by-the-bottle, in a happy collaboration with our chums at the ARROW FACTORY!

POP-UP BEIJING is the first bar to hold ARROW FACTORY beer by-the-bottle, in 500ml ‘mini-growlers’ – freshly Beijing-brewed, bottled, and delivered straight to our door.

Like our beers from The Nine Inch Brewing, these awesome thirst-quenchers, in their sexy bottles, are available in limited quantities – so get in FAST, while each fresh delivery lasts!

DEGREE PLATO 原麦汁度

Measurement/Quantity of fermentable sugars before fermentation, and an indication of the strength of a beer.

酿酒前可发酵糖分在液体中的比例,主要用来表现一款啤酒的强度。

ABV 酒精度

Alcohol by Volume, an indicator of how much alcohol each beer contains.

酒精度主要指每单位啤酒中含有多少的酒精。

IBU 国际苦味度

International Bittering Units, a measurement for how much bitterness a beer contains. Note: IBU does not directly describe a beer’s perceived bitterness, as it is often kept in balance with the alcohol and body of a beer.

国际苦味度,是用来衡量一款啤酒中苦味的多少和强度。请注意:国际苦味度所标明的指标不能够完全形容啤酒在苦味上的味觉感受,因为酿酒师在酿造的时候,会将苦味与酒精度、酒体、以及其他味觉感受相互交合,从而达到整体上的平衡。

DRY HOPPING 干投啤酒花

Brewing jargon – basically the addition of more aroma hops to the beer during fermentation or conditioning. When hops are added during the boil stage (before fermentation), the oils in the hops essentially become the bitter flavor in beer. When hops are added after the boil and during fermentation or conditioning (lower temperature), the aromatic oils remain in tact and lend their aroma without adding more bitterness. The aromas range from piney and citrusy, to earthy and floral, depending on the hop variety used.

干投啤酒花是啤酒酿造的术语 – 基本上是指在啤酒原浆发酵的时候投入额外的酒花来增强成酒的香气和浓郁度。当酒花在沸腾麦汁的阶段加入时,其中包含的油脂往往会在成酒中部分转化为苦味。但如果酒花在发酵阶段加入,则在更容易保持其芳香的同时,减少多余的苦味。酒花因种类的不同为啤酒带来的香气也非常多样,从松香、柑橘气,到泥土味或者花香,非常丰富有趣。

PALE ALE 淡色艾尔啤酒

Ale is a beer fermented at room temperature, with the yeast working from the top of the beer. Pale ale is a style of beer brewed with “pale malts”and usually some caramelized malts (for color). The color is, you guessed it, “pale.” An American Pale Ale showcases american malts and american hops. The Guanxi Pale Ale has late hop additions and dry hopping with the Cascade hop, which showcases some wonderful piney, citrusy aromas.

艾尔啤酒是一种在室温下发酵的淡色啤酒,酵母菌从液面开始,由上至下完成发酵。淡色艾尔往往由一种淡色或焦糖化大麦酿造而成。成酒的颜色,当然就是经典的“淡艾尔色。”一款典型的美国淡色艾尔啤酒能够很好地展示美国大麦和酒花的独特风味。我们的“关系”淡色艾尔就使用了卡斯科特酒花,为这款啤酒带来了经典的松香和柑橘香。

LAGER 拉格(窖藏)啤酒

Lagers are fermented at lower temperatures (think 8-10° C) and the yeast ferments from the bottom. Lagers usually take about two months to fully ferment out the sugars and condition the final product. They are often free of flavors from the yeast (fruity) and very low aroma from the hops. A light malt flavor, with some notes of bread and biscuit is to be expected and enjoyed!

拉格啤酒的发酵温度偏低(大约8-10° C),且酵母菌从麦汁底部开始发酵。拉格啤酒通常需要至少两个月的时间才能将糖分完全发酵转化为成酒。这种啤酒往往水果香较为清淡,酒花留香也较少。最为经典的拉格啤酒主体为淡淡的麦香气息,特色为面包和饼干的浓郁气息!
